The South Pacific Division (SPD) is planning to train and equip 125,000 young World Changers who will pledge to bring at least one person to Jesus in the next twelve months.
The SPD has just placed an order for 125,000 NKJV Bibles and sets of Adventist Bible studies that will be distributed throughout the region.
We have received over $600,000 AUD in donations during the last 12 months that will be used to fund the project. It has been amazing to see God move in the hearts of our members.
These specially developed Bibles contain a 16-page discipleship insert that outlines how to connect with God at a personal level, how to give a Bible study, and how to explain the Gospel. The set of Adventist Bible studies are so simple a child could use them to share their faith. During 2013, strategic launches will be conducted at the larger population centres in every church territory.
It will be so exciting to see thousands of our youth (15-30) receive their own Bible and study resource, as many of our youth can't afford to buy their own Bible.
The time has come for a generation of youth to become the heroes of our church and take up the call to follow Christ as His disciples. As Ellen G. White states: "With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world" (CSA 66). It has never been easier for Adventists to talk about their faith, because everything the church has been talking about is happening.
