We are happy and pleased to inform you that we celebrated Youth Commitment Day on June 22-23, 2012.The churches throughout the Southern Asia Division celebrated the event meaningfully. It was a blessed opportunity for every youth to participate in the event. The theme that we selected was "Lord , Make me your disciple," based on the 2012 Youth Year of Discipleship.
The celebration began on Friday with the service entitled, "Twelve Men who shook the World, What made them to be true disciples of Christ?" It was a colorful pageant program with a life sketch of each disciple of Christ. Meaningful songs were sung in between the pageant. On Sabbath morning the entire Sabbath school program was centered on discipleship. The divine service message was focused on "How to be a true disciple of Christ." Many churches had organized fellowship lunch for the young people.
On Sabbath afternoon a symposium on discipleship was organized. Young people were very enthusiastic to participate in the discussions and deliberations. The day ended with a meaningful commitment service. The young people were challenged to commit their lives to live up to God's expectations and become true disciples of Christ. Baptisms were reported in many churches. It was a day of great blessing not only to the young people but to everyone.
Thank you very much for your prayer and support in this regard.
